LCB Contracting carries out bulk earthworks across North West Tasmania: cut and fill, bulk excavation, levelling and material haulage for subdivisions, commercial building pads and farm infrastructure. With our own excavators, tip trucks and compaction gear on the one job, we move dirt quickly, to level, and to engineer’s specification.
Bulk earthworks set up everything that follows. If the cut is wrong or compaction is skipped, the slab, shed or road built on top of it inherits the problem. We work from your engineering drawings or set out, establish accurate levels, and stage the cut, cart and fill so material is handled once, not shuffled around the site.
Because LCB runs its own tip trucks and truck and dog combinations alongside the excavators, spoil removal and material supply are coordinated by one contractor. That keeps machines producing instead of waiting, which is the difference between a tight programme and a blown one.

How much do bulk earthworks cost in Tasmania?
Most bulk earthworks are priced from site plans as a fixed quote, or at an hourly rate for work without a defined scope. Cost depends on volume of material, haul distance, ground conditions and access. Send us your plans and we’ll return an itemised, no obligation quote, usually within a few days.
Do you work from engineering drawings?
Yes. We regularly work to engineer’s design levels and specifications for builders and developers, including staged cut/fill programmes, compaction requirements and inspection hold points.
Can you remove spoil from site?
Yes. We run our own tip trucks and truck and dog combinations, so excavation and cartage are handled by the one contractor. We can also import and place engineered fill or road base where the design calls for it.
